3. Website Analytics and Tracking

This website uses Matomo Analytics to allow us to track and analyse how you and other visitors use the website. We specifically chose Matomo because it is an open source platform that does not share information with any other party, including Google. All the information collected by Matomo is stored on the website’s database and is not visible to anyone else.

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track feature or setting that you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. By enabling the Do-Not-Track feature in your browser settings you will opt out of being tracked by Matomo Analytics.

4. Subscription Information

When you submit your personal information to subscribe to our email list, it is collected and stored by MailerLite. MailerLite is is fully GDPR-compliant company whose data storage centre is located in the European Union and has an information storage security certificate (ISO 27001). 5. Blog Comments

When you leave blog post comments on our website, we collect the information shown in the comments form as well as your IP address and browser user agent string. This is to help with spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.

After approval of your comment, your Gravatar profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

6. Uploaded Media

If you upload images to our website, we recommend you avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
