Care and Feeding of Your Bracelet

Our bracelets are made of 316L grade stainless steel, which is very tough and corrosion resistant. That means they won’t tarnish or rust, even if you sweat a lot or wear them in the ocean.

Even so, it’s always a good idea to at least rinse your bracelet off under cold, running tap water after it’s been exposed to a salty or corrosive environment to keep it clean and looking its best.

We also recommend that you regularly give your bracelet a good clean, to get rid of any built-up dirt and gunk in the engraving from the environment and your skin.

Your bracelet comes with two chemical-free, microfiber suede cleaning cloths.

To clean your bracelet, the best approach is to dip one of your cleaning cloths in warm, soapy water (mild dishwashing liquid is perfect) and wipe the bracelet clean. Then use the other cleaning cloth to dry and polish the bracelet.

Never use any abrasive materials or cleaning products on your bracelet, including metal polishing products. While our bracelets themselves are very durable, abrasive products and even some chemicals will alter the brushed-metal finish as well as dull the black enamel in the engraved designs, taking away its gloss.

SCRATCHING

Although our bracelets themselves are quite tough, they can still potentially get scratched. Please exercise care therefore, particularly when around or in contact with rough, ceramic surfaces such as stone, brick or concrete, to avoid hitting or scraping your bracelet.

Your local jeweller should be able to polish out any unsightly scratches from your bracelet for you, provided that they are careful around the engraved design areas, however bear in mind that any polishing will also permanently remove your bracelet’s natural brushed-metal finish.
