Eden

Stronger. Braver. FIGHTER. is all about supporting women through hardship and empowering them to overcome.

So when we heard about the amazing work that Eden does in fighting against trafficking of women for sexual exploitation, and directly empowering victims to escape and start a new life, we knew that we wanted to get involved.

We decided that 10% of all the profits we make from the sale of our products would be donated to Eden, to help them carry on their life-saving work.

Eden’s programs are based in South-East Asia, which where more than half of the global total of human trafficking victims are found. They are comprised of:

Outreach teams that make weekly visits to red-light districts and trafficking hubs, where trafficking victims are identified and provided with rapid HIV testing and encouraged with messages of hope and opportunity.

Drop-in Centres, where women come every day for support, many of them victims of sexual violence, abuse, and trafficking. Women and girls are given an opportunity to learn new skills through vocational training programs and treated for PTSD, increasing their resilience and empowerment, and helping them to find safe employment or start their own enterprises.

Emergency Shelters, which are essential for rescuing trafficking victims and giving them a secure location where victim protection and trauma counselling can be provided. These allow women to participate in the rehabilitation process in a safe and supported environment.

Trauma Counselling through Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioural Counselling and creative therapies. Beneficiaries generally show a 95% decrease in PTSD symptoms after three months of trauma counselling.

Community Education through awareness and prevention training in at-risk communities and in Eden drop-in centres. The aim is to protect young girls and women from ever experiencing the trauma of sexual exploitation and equip communities to identify bride traffickers.

Economic Empowerment of rescued women. Once a woman is restored to health, well-being and gainful work, she creates a ripple effect throughout her community, changing the lives of entire families.
